I’m really looking forward to this time because it gives me a chance to chat with different people and hear about what the Lord is doing in their lives, as well as enjoy the delicious dishes everyone brings. Hello ladies, are you eager to deepen your understanding of God’s word and strengthen your friendships? Our Chosen Ladies Ministry is excited to announce the start of a new weekly Bible study in the book of James, beginning on Thursday, August 6, and continuing through September 10, at Amber Powers’ home. This Bible study is a fantastic way to prepare for our Ladies Retreat in October. We’d love for all youth ladies and older members to join us. We’ll be meeting at 6:30 p.m so come on out and join us.

Our Calvary Kid’s Ministry will be hosting a Back to School Pizza and Game Night at the church on August 7. The event is free! RSVP HERE.

Saturday, August 8, we will convene with other churches in Winston Salem at the Triad OBG. From there, we will walk to Salem Pregnancy Center across from Planned Parenthood to pray for the lives of the unborn children, their mothers, and to seek the Lord’s intervention to turn everyone involved in the abortion process towards Him. Jesus instructs his disciples to go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Baptism serves as a public declaration of one’s faith in Jesus. It signifies that our sins have been forgiven through Jesus’ death, our adoption as God’s children, and our commitment to follow Jesus in newness of life.
