Church Life Bulletin

  • Community Day — April 5

Join us as we reach out to the community surrounding our building, by cleaning up trash and litter in the neighborhood, reaching out through our clothing closet and parking lot prayer teams, and passing out invites to Easter service. We will gather at the church at 8:00am to set up and pray, and go out.

  • Church Potluck — April 6

Join us following our Sunday morning service, down in our fellowship hall for a time of food and fellowship with one another. This is a great time to develop relationships with each other and share what God is doing in our lives. We encourage attendees to bring a main and side or dessert to share.

  • CC Asheville Relief Trip — April 12

Join us in the opportunity to serve those in need in the Asheville area recovering from Hurricane Helene. This is more than just a trip—it’s a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus, offering hope, compassion, and support to those facing hardship. Serving in this capacity allows us to make a real difference, not only in the lives of others but also in our own hearts, as we grow in love and service. We’ll come alongside Calvary Chapel Asheville and their relief effort to the community. They are specifically in need of roofers, dry wallers, and other skilled laborers to assist with the work, but anyone is welcome to join. We ask that participants be high school-aged or older—no little kids allowed.

All who are interest are invited to attend a short planning meeting following service Sunday, March 30. For more info email us.

  • Easter Week — April 13-20

Join us as we celebrate the Passion week of Jesus Christ and His resurrection.

    Palm Sunday service / April 13 - 10am

    Wednesday Prayer and Praise / April 16 - 7pm

    Good Friday Service / April 18 - 7pm

    Easter Son Rise - 6:30am

    Easter Service - 10 am

  • Men’s Breakfast — April 26

Men! Join us for a time in the word and fellowship as we share a meal. We gather in the Fellowship Hall down stairs at 8am. If you’re new to the church, this is a great way to meet other men. If you’re planning to attend, sign up here so we know how many to prepare for. Cost is $5 per person.

Church bible reading calendar

Robert Murray, M’Cheyne (1842), once said “It has long been in my mind to prepare a scheme of scripture reading, in which as many as were made willing by God might agree, so that the whole Bible might be read once by you in the year, and all might be feeding in the same portion of the green pasture at the same time.”

We as a church utilize this bible reading calendar, put together by Robert Murray M'Cheyne, as a means or growing closer to the Lord through diligent personal bible reading and growing closer to one another, as we are all reading along in the same passage(s) of scripture each day.

Calvay Chapel Distinctives

By Chuck Smith

What makes Calvary Chapel different from other Bible-believing, evangelical churches? Certainly there are churches that share many of our beliefs and practices. We’re not renegades. But God has done a wonderful work of balance in the Calvary Chapel movement that makes us different in many areas.

In Calvary Chapel, we find the teaching of the Word and an open heart to the work of the Holy Spirit. It is this balance that makes us a distinct and uniquely blessed movement of God. And so it’s important to understand the biblical principles behind why God has allowed us to exist and grow.

This is not to say that all Calvary Chapels are identical. God, desiring to reach and bless all kinds of people, seems to enjoy having a wide variety of churches so that everybody’s needs might be met—from the highly emotional to the very formal, and all those in between. Each of us has a part to play in God’s plan, but we all need to know where we fit in this wide spectrum. That is why it’s crucial for us to grasp what we call the Calvary Chapel Distinctives. As we see what makes our fellowship unique, we will also better understand our position in the Body of Christ.
